A few years back a friend gave me a jacket... a denim piece with a shawl-style neck. We talked about how much we loved the concept but stylistically and fit-wise it left a lot to be desired. Mental notes were made from conversations, and I promised to design a piece that fit the direction of what we talked about. Sadly, as this piece has finally come into fruition, JT is no longer with us. I'm pretty damn sure he would love it and hope that his passion for well-made things will live on in some small way with this jacket.
The design is born of WWII navy jackets but incorporates some Ship John styling points and an updated fit. Made with heavy 14.75 oz broken twill denim with Bedford cord trim. You could dress it up or wear it casual like any ol' denim jacket. Add on years of wear and you will get some amazing patina, a jacket for any occasion.
In honor of JT, 10% of each jacket sold will be donated to MusiCares who help folks like him and so many other musicians through times of need.
