I recently made a pillow for an antique leather chair I have in the shop using a beautiful wool Pendleton Serape fabric and some cotton canvas. As I was looking around for something to stuff it with, I passed a box of fabric cuts that we've had just not wanting to throw away... so I ran it through our strap cutting machine and, voila, recycled pillow stuffing. I loved it and we decided to make a handful more... Â It's not as comfortable as down but we also didn't have to kill any geese to get it and were able to save some scrap from the landfill. The colors on this Serape make a great accent for old school decor or a cabin feel.Â
The size is a smaller 12x12" since every other throw pillow I've found out there has seemed too big for my situations. If you hate the scrap fabric filling, you can always source your own pillow interior many places.Â
