RUTH (she / her)
What do you do at the shop: Customer services, packing & shipping, store greeting, goods bagging, Spud petting, and last but not least: randomly pestering Joe.
Preferred morning & evening beverage(s): Hot chai with oat milk for the morn, fizzy water in the eve.
Where were you born & raised: Saigon, Vietnam. 
Favorite tool in the shop: Blackwing Natural pencil. 
Album for a rainy day: Umm… Pandora made this Rainy Day Soundtrack playlist for me?..Kinda jazzy. Or I put on Bob Moses or Lo-Fi Chill. I’m a millennial whadoyamean “album”???
Local bar & / or restaurant recommendations: Oh goodness I have a whole list! Ok ok narrowing it down. I can eat at Khao Moo Dang or Kinboshi Ramen every day! Rontoms is currently my go-to for cocktails. 
Favorite color of waxed canvas: Classic Tan!
Thoughts on mayo: Love it! Especially the homemade kind.

HOLLY (she / her)
What do you do at the shop: I help run the customer service dept. which includes answering those emails we get from our amazing customers. I also run the retail shop so I get to actually interact with real live people that come in and want to look at our different products and wears. I help with the shipping of those said items to folx all over the world. I love people. I say it all the time. 
Preferred morning & evening beverage(s): AM Bev: Coffee, black. Half a cup at a time so that I can finish it before it gets cold. Also Jasmine Silver Tip tea. PM Bev: Water. But some days I enjoy one can of Buoy Pilsner then some dry white wine. Half a glass at a time so that it doesn’t get warm before I have the chance to drink it. Rainer on those days at work that get long and I just need to crack a cold one. 
Where were you born & raised: Born in Richmond, VA. Raised in Ft. Collins, CO and Lincoln, NE. 
Favorite tool in the shop: It's a tie between the toaster oven and Joe.

Favorite color of waxed canvas: Navy! Hands down the most gorgeous color of waxed canvas. 
Thoughts on mayo: A little bit goes a long way. Ojai Cook Organic Mayo. 
Hobbies / crafts / activities outside of SJ: I enjoy sewing a bit, redesigning interior living spaces, hanging with my teenagers, walking the pup, and road trips to all the amazing PNW places (usually centered around food and drink!).

What do you do at the shop: Seamstress
Preferred morning & evening beverage(s): Morning- cold brew. Evening- chamomile tea with milk and honey
Where were you born & raised: Born in New Haven, CT, raised in Naples, FL
Favorite tool in the shop: Binding machine because it has a such a smooth rhythm as the fabric feeds though

What do you do at the shop: I mostly just take shit from Holly. I also make belts and occasionally I'll make some other leather stuff.
Preferred morning & evening beverage(s): Black coffee & light beer.
Where were you born & raised: Born in Great Falls, Montana & raised in Ontario, Oregon.
Favorite tool in the shop: Toss up between the polishing lathe and the punchin' stump.

Local bar & / or restaurant recommendations: It hurts my heart too much remembering the care free days of dive bars.

AMANDA (she / her)
What do you do at the shop: At the moment I’m mostly hanging around the kick presses putting in snaps but I’m bouncing around learning a little bit of everything. There’s soooo much work and an incredible amount of knowledge that goes into crafting these products. I’m grateful to my coworkers for sharing their skills with me!
Preferred morning & evening beverage(s): Hot coffee for the AM. Cold coffee for the PM and water all day.
Where were you born & raised: Born and raised in Lebanon, PA but Philadelphia is where I ‘grew up’.
Favorite tool in the shop: There’s hundreds of tools in here! So far I’m loving the rivet setters. It’s really satisfying and not as intimidating as some of the other tools.
Album for a rainy day: Depends on my mood but lately I’ve been loving- Mattiel’s self titled album, 'Wake the Dreamers' by Shelley Short & the Sure Shots, 'Victim of Love' by Charles Bradley, 'Welcome to Hard Times' from Charley Crockett, and of course Dolly, rain or shine.
Local bar & / or restaurant recommendations: ThunderBird has the best Burgers and mezcal cocktails, Sapphire Hotel for cocktails, and Kind Coffee Cart for the best (and cheapest) breakfast sandwiches in town.
Favorite color of waxed canvas: Do they make it in a dark lavender?
Thoughts on mayo: Flavorless gelatinous goo? No thank you! Though I am fascinated by what Hellmans and Jell-O were able to accomplish together in America’s kitchens in the 60's. If you don’t know what I’m talking about google ‘tuna salad mold’.
Hobbies / crafts / activities outside of SJ: Playing board games or snuggling up with my kiddo is by far my favorite activity outside of work. I also enjoy yard work, simple weaving when I have the time and being by a river or lake as much as possible in the summer months.
